Day Pass to resort facilities on Maui

Message: Has anyone ever heard of a resort/hotel allowing someone to purchase a "day pass" that would allow them to use the resort grounds and pool? I was thinking specifically about the Hyatt on Maui. The pool there looks spectacular but so are the nightly rates I was wondering if someone who is not staying at the hotel could pay to use the pool. I would even be willing to pay for one night of the lowest priced room. We will be on Maui in December when there are minimum stay requirements and I can't seem to work out a short stay at the Hyatt plus the minimum stay at a condo. I thought maybe this would be the solution if it is possible. Thanks.

You might be able to e-mail the GM at the Hyatt directly through their website and ask. I was able to make an inquiry for the Kauai Hyatt that way recently and he responded in about 48 hours. The only pool complex that I have heard offers day passes is the Grand Wailea - and their pools are the BEST - but it's pricey! Some friends of mine recently got the Maui Hyatt for $150. per night through Priceline but I know the minimum stay in December (high season) problem might prohibit this.

Thanks crazy4Hawaii! I will look into both making special requests and inquiring at the Grand Wailea.
