Will be in College Station in October for the Music Festival..Was wondering what are some good bars, etc to hang out. We are 30 somethings that like a laid back, non fussy, but fun place to hang out...

Are you referring to College Station, Texas, where men are men and sheep are scared?

Both of these are in the "Northgate" area right across from the TAMU campus near Wellborn & University.

If you want a great spot for dinner, we love Cafe Eccel - really nice food, good drinks, and amazing desserts. They have a menu online if you'd like to check it out. Also if you get a chance, the football games there are a lot of fun - lots of school spirit. The Northgate area is your best bet for bars - if it's a game weekend, the area will be packed. If you're interested, the George Bush Library is there as well. Have fun!

Thanks for the info Christie and volcanogirl...Had seen Dixie Chicken online..may have to check it out..Will go look online for Cafe Eccel and see how that looks as well..It won't be a "game" weekend..which will be good, less traffic maybe..Son lives at Northgate so we will be in that area anyways...
