Hi Randy, Not sure what you mean by Lakefront Beach? And unless this year is different, the Airshow is held at Burke Lakefront Airport downtown, right on Lake Erie, and not Hopkins International. You can see the airshow from many vantage points without paying and going into the stands, although that is certainly the best place; it's first class and stunning over shimmering Lake Erie.

A popular place to watch the show is Edgewater Park, just west of downtown off the shoreway. There's a nice wide, clean beach and concession stand. If you go downtown consider eating at Hornblowers next to the Burke airport, built on a ship - barge. Sit on the upper deck for great views of the Cleveland Skyline and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

In the past, the pilots have practiced on the Friday before the show, so if you are downtown that day, you will have quite a treat for free! Enjoy!

Yep, Edgewater is a great spot. There's also a hill in the area of Gate 11 (or so) along N. Marginal Rd, directly behind the south perimteter of the airport and there's always people there, watching the show; there's also tress there for shade. Also, Voinovich Park at the E 9th St. pier is a great location. You'll be able to see more the actual runways and there low-deck flying and genral performing close to the crowd.

My 5th volunteering there and it's gonna be a great show this year! Hope that y'all come out to see!

The Harbor Heritage Society maintains the SS Mather, a lakes freighter docked at the foot of East 9th street, right at the end of the runway. Not only is the Mather an interesting place to visit, they have a gathering on deck during the airshow. There is an admission charge, I think, but there is no better place to view the airshow.

I don't think they have a website, but their address is 1001 East 9th Street Pier, Cleveland OH 44114-9858.
