Christmas in Vegas - discuss :)

Happy Friday!

Has anyone been to Vegas for Christmas? What as it like? Was it super busy?

Thought this would be an interesting Friday topic!

Many thanks in advance

I have not been at Christmas, but a week or so before. Dead, dead, dead. Cold. Many places closed, remodeling and gearing up for Christmas and New Years. Great room deals though.

My DW and I had a great Christmas dinner at the Hofbrauhaus.
The German food was very good. http://www.hofbrauhauslasvegas.com/
We were even entertained by a man playing the alpenhorn.
Sorry for the music on the link.

"What happens in Vegas actually comes from Munich"

Christmas is on Sunday this year. Die Biermeister performs every Sunday from noon to 4PM at the Hofbrauhaus.
They usually have a beer stein holding contest if you want to practice ahead of time.

Yes I have been to Vegas at Christmas. It wasn't appreciably quieter than other times on the last visit (2013)-- we had a lot of fun, actually. A lot of shows will be dark so participants get a holiday, of course, so plan on dining in the resorts and playing games on that day. Bear in mind that some resort restaurants will be closed Christmas day as well, so you might want to do advance planning a couple of weeks before.

We got an incredible deal at the MGM Grand (huge, but we ended up loving it), so it can be a good way to save money on a trip to Lost Wages. YMMV.
