Dan,
The Braves-Twins '91 Series is the first time I realized girls "shouldn't" watch baseball. My sister had us watching the Braves when we had only 1 TV in the house & she dated a baseball guy in high school. My first year of college, in the dorm watching the '91 Series... boy did I get strange looks down the hall after screaming for some of those games!

5 to 1... Houston... Bottom of the 9th. Haven't we been here before? It's not the same when they aren't home with their own fans, but I still hope they pull it off tonight!!

I heard a great quote earlier that the "sound" (or lack thereof) after Pujols homerun was like the sounds at a Tampa Bay Devil Rays game. Ha ha! I went there this year, so I can relate!

JJ5 - take it all in for me! ENJOY!!!!!

Yea Houston!!

My heart breaks for Jeff Bagwell. How hard it must be to watch from the dugout.

So we are going to play in the dome and have "beam" rules. YUCK!

Well is our weather going to be a deterent to Houston????? It's supposed to be 49 and rainy at the best here in Chicago. You all should have heard the hilarious routines on our sports stations (radio) over the field crew at Angels (Anaheim). They call our crew chief the SOXFATHER (and play the music from Godfather) because our field is PERFECT outside in Chicago. They were all surmising what the SOXfather would have done to the crew person throwing a hose over everything in Anaheim while smoking a cigar. The SOXfather has 4 people to hold his hose.

neworleanslady, the entire thing has put a new pop to my step every day. JOY!
All the troubles, increased this year by 2 at least, stuck on my back aren't going anywhere- but the lift that the White Sox have given me over the years, and this year. Well, it has been more than priceless. Let everyone else use their Prozac or Paxil or whatever, all I need is some boys in black and white.

We're going to win besides.

I have just starting collecting on my bets. I bet the White Sox would make it to the World Series back in May and it sure is sweet to collect and now on to the winning the World Series bets!! Go White Sox! I have been a true White Sox fan from birth - really did not think it would take this long to see that faith to fruition but it sure is sweet! Go White Sox. JJ5 - now we have to get our "Credo" bracelets!

Got my bracelet already- a graduate student gave me one.

NanoPalos, would you believe that for about 10 years when I had to travel to Nevada or AZ for an aunt, I would always pick up a ticket at MGM (when it was the end of the Strip) on the way to Bull Head City for the Sox to win the American League Pennant. AND I haven't for the last two years because I no longer go out West. I should have done it some other way, because I did know. I've won four dinners and counting.

GO SOX!
