hi fodorites,

i'm sorry for bringing up an old thread ... DH and i are staying at the swissotel from july 1 - 5. we have a 'classic' room (read: cheapest room of the bunch!) but we have an option to request either a city view or a view of grant park. if we request a view of grant park, do you think we might be able to see the july 3rd fireworks from our room? and are some floors more ideal than others for viewing the fireworks? i understand that the higher floors (i.e. above 30) may not be very good as we'd be looking DOWN on the fireworks.
