I am planning a trip to WDW either next Spring or Fall...can anyone tell me the least inexpensive months to visit i terms of airfare, hotel rates and ticket prices (if those change at all).

Mid September To October most kids are in school No big lines good airfare deals .this is WDW off season

STAY AWAY in the springtime. Schools all across the country have spring break at various times. It's a madhouse. October has the Food & Wine Festival - very nice, yummy tastings from all over the globe! Fall is the better of your 2 choices, IMHO.

Hi again. Forgot one important fact about the fall. It's hurricane season and Florida gets lots of rain. Just check out what's been happening the past couple weeks and what's coming this week! Yikes! You may want to consider October.

I have gotten good deals in the very first days of December, and the last week of January/first week of February. The passes are still the same; the main difference is in deals at Disney hotels (and others) and having short or no lines at attractions. Airplanes are not as crowded, so you may be able to score a FF ticket or rock bottom airfare.

The International Food and Wine thing is at Epcot the month November. Worth going to Disney for.

We went in May. After springbreak and before school lets out. It is also before it gets hot. The locals told us it was hands down the best time to come.
Not sure if it was the least expensive but with travel down in Orlando alot of hotels seem to have great deals. (better air fare right now too.)

Our schools have a very early spring break... the first week of March.
We went to Orlando 2 years ago during the first week of March and it was perfect! The weather, the crowds, everything! They park employees we talked to said the madness starts the 2nd and 3rd week of March!

In my opinion the 2 best times to visit Orlando, if you must go there at all, would be May and Nov. The weather is great those times of year, kids are still in school and the snowbirds haven't arrived en masse yet!

Kopp, a few corrections to your post.
Nothing has been "happening the past couple weeks" and we don't expect "what's coming this week!", if that means you are refering to Hurricane Isabel.

While Florida gets a lot of rain in summer, and we have had a lot of it this year, it's not rained in the Tampa area in about 10 days. Tampa is located 90 miles southwest of Orlando.

You suggested that Kristen consider Oct. however that is ALSO hurricane season. 'Cane season lasts from June 1 to Dec. 1 each year but hurricanes can develop at at any time given the right conditions.
Please try to be factual an not overstate issues.

My niece lives just outside of Orlando (10 miles) and mentioned there has been lots of rain lately.

As far as the best times to go to WDW, you can look on their site and see whent the "Value Season" is for their resorts, this will give you a clue of what times of year they are looking for guests.

We went in January once and it was practially empty at Epcot. We are also planning a trip the 2nd week of December to see the Christmas decor. Hope this info helps you.
