Charleston Suggestions
My 2 sisters and I will be coming to Charleston for the Spoleto festival. This is our plan so far-Thursday night Peninsula Grill or Langdon's in Mt Pleasant, Friday night Anson's, Saturday lunch/brunch at Poogan's Porch, High Cotton, Tristan's. Sunday, we are considering going to the Spoleto finale at the plantation Sunday night (taking a picnic?) so we are interested in Sunday brunch also. We could do lunch rather than brunch but we are interested in only 1 big meal a day. Where should we have our big midday meal on Sunday??
We also need a light lunch on Friday (gumbo/she-crab soup?) and snacks/tapas on Saturday night.
We will have a car so Mt Pleasant is an option.
Someone also recommended Mama Brown's, Garibaldi's and Fleet Landing (for the view, probably at lunch). Anything we should do differently and how do we fill in the gaps?
Any suggestions for a good walking tour? Thanks!

I would skip Fleet Landing and go have drinks on the rooftop of the Market Pavilion hotel. Lovely place, gorgeous view. Brunch at Cru Cafe is very popular and yet not really on the tourist radar (bookings for all restaurants during Spoleto will be tough). I would also suggest Magnolia's.
Enjoy your visit. It is a special place!

Lunch Friday at SNOB.
Pennisula Grill should be a definite for Thursday night.
Friday night-- Cypress
Saturday lunch-- Cru or High Cotton
Rue de Jean is also great
Sunday brunch- Red's on Shem Creek at Mt Pleasant- sit beside the creek and watch the boats
Skip Mama B. , Garibaldi, and Fleetwood.
Walking tour-- Use Bulldog tours
i love the carriage rides- I live here and still enjoy them when we have guests.

A dissenting opinion on Fleet Landing. I like it for drinks and appetizers. Very casual, open restaurant with a unique setting right on water.
Rooftop at Market Pavilion is fancier and also a neat experience, more formal and a lot pricier if that matters.
