I can understand the thrill. Why not? Especially if it is someone you admire & watch on TV/Movies often. Even a famous author can make your heart flutter. I absolutely love Nathan Lane and become just about paralyzed every time I run into him. It just never becomes 'old hat'. I live in NY and usually run into celebs at the theater. They are in the audience watching their friends perform. Usually not at Broadway shows, but off-broadway and other special events. Last Monday night we sold an extra ticket for Barbara Cook at Lincoln Center to Judith Light. She was adorable and we had a really nice evening with her. She took my husband (a huge Barbara Cook fan)backstage to meet her. So, pick up Time Out NY Magazine and look for any charity related theater event. That would be your best shot. An early morning jog in Central Park might also pay off.
