Ceasars Palace & Show Recommendations

I will be staying at Ceasars in October for business. We will be staying in the Palace Towers (I think that is what they called it). I've never been to Las Vegas. What is Ceasars like?

Also, any suggestions on good shows to see while there?

www.cheapovegas.com gives GREAT recommendations for shows, reviews of hotels (including Caesar's) and gives good insights to Vegas. You might also do a seach here to see trip reports and recommendations. There are SO many different shows in Vegas that it really depends what you like.

We stayed at Caesar's last visit, and the Palace Tower rooms are wonderful!

How about one of the Cirque shows. "O" is a show that can only be seen in Las Vegas. IT is not like any other show. If tickets not available, "Mystere", another of their productions is good.
For an old fashion Las Vegas revue, try the show at Tropicanna or Balley's revue. The broadway show, "Mama Mia" has been playing at Mandalay Bay.
Rio has a fun free carnival show that is good. David Osborne, the pianist, did perform in one of the lounges at Ceasars, if you like piano music. Not sure if he is still there.

I thought "Mystere" at Treasure Isand was great! And I hear "O" at the Bellagio is even better! I've also heard Celine Dion and Danny Ganz are phenominal - many of my friends have recommneded both! Have fun!

We will also be in Vegas in October. We are going to see Elton John, do you like him? His tickets are expensive but everyone so far has raved about his show. I havent read any negative reviews on it yet.
I also read on this forum that Caesars is really big. The forum shops are also highly recommened.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I have seen both Celine Dion and Elton John here at home, and they were two of the best concerts I have ever seen. I'm taking my brother with me, and he refuses to see Celine Dion, even after all my begging. I didn't know about Elton John. I will also check out "O". I've never heard of it, so I'm curious to find out. Thanks again !

We stayed across the street from Ceasars at the Flamingo this past weekend. Ceasars is beautiful. They have a lovely mall called The Forum Shops that have some of the basic mall stores but many designer shops as well - Dolce & Gabana, DKNY, etc. It's in an excellent location, right next door to the Bellagio and in the middle of the Strip. DO NOT miss the Buffet at the Bellagio. It's wonderful. We did the lunch buffet for $15.95. The best deal in town.

Not that the Forum Shop area also has many good restaurants including Spago, Bertolini's (for gourmet pizza), Stage Deli (for breakfast) and the Cheesecake Factory (save room for dessert!)

Palace Tower rooms are some of the nicest in Las Vegas.

Sr - By the way, make sure that you check into your room at the airport! It took us 5 minutes at the airport, and my guess is that at your hotel it will take you about an hour. Really. The Ceasars check in is near the baggage claim area. Ask around if you can't find it. It will be a HUGE convenience!

I wanted to recommend another show you might enjoy - Clint Holmes at Harrah's. He is a talented entertainer who loves his audience and his show is excellent.
