caterers in Honolulu
to the Oahu experts:
need help with caterers you can recommend. i will be in honolulu in jan 09 on a business trip and will be ordering for several lunches in the kaneohe, downtown and waipahu areas. will prefer a caterer who can deliver in these areas. i have used chun wah kam in kalihi st this year, and i'm really happy with them, just need a new caterer for variety bec i have used chun wah kam extensively this year. i have also used spaghettini - they're ok but more pricey than chun wah kam. the lunches are usually for 10-15 people and i'd like to spend no more than $12-15 per person, with drinks included.
thanks in advance for your recommendations.

Sorry I don't have the web addresses on the fly, but here are some companies you might google and try:
Clambake Hawaii
Creations in Catering (or just call Kakaako Kitchen and they'll hook you up with the catering division)
Marian's
Good to Go! (really reasonable on the Windward side, but not sure if they are still open)
In Waipahu you might even try Tanioka's, since they're right there.

I thought about you yesterday--went to a party that was catered by a company called "Choy's Catering." The owner is Lynette Adams and she did a nice job. However, I didn't get her card. All I know is that she has a connection to Murphy's Bar & Grill and can whip up some VERY reasonable stuff.

Just a caveat, we all agreed that the shoyu chicken was not that great, but the fried garlic chicken was very good.
