We ate at Twin Palms yesterday evening (after attending the wonderful open house at JPL - which is on again today, if anyone is in the Pasadena area) and found it just as Neopolitan described: not cutting edge, but very satisfactory, good food, not exorbitantly priced, good service, and very pleasant atmosphere in the outdoor courtyard.

Nankie, thanks for agreeing that it is just what I said. I never intended it as the best restaurant in Pasadena, but the atmosphere is superb (especially to non-Californians) and the rest is as you described.

We're going to be in So Cal next weekend, so we may be making a side trip to Pasadena.

Oh, I just spoke to my friend who lives near Pasadena. He likes Twin Palms, although says it's more about the ambiance than the food. We are going to go their next Sunday for Brunch or Lunch.

We ended up at the Arroyo Chop House... you all must be keeping it to yourselves... it was incredible! Everything we ordered was perfect and the atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for. We had the perfect table on the back patio right next to the fireplace...
