Thyme Square Cafe in Bethesda, MD

Anyone familiar with this restaurant? I'll be staying just down from here next week and was thinking of checking it out for dinner. Any feedback would be great! Thanks!

I've never really seen anyone eating there. It seems to be a club on weekends, but otherwise looks pretty deserted. There are a lot of much better restaurants in Bethesda. Some of our favs were:

Tara Thai (wonderful, wonderful, wonderful)

Jaleo (make a meal of scrumptious tapas)

Blacks (great American Bistro food)

Grapeseed (if you are into wine)

gosh - there are a whole lot of really good places for dinner in Bethesda. You will have fun reading menus and looking at whether or not people in there seem to be having fun/enjoying their food. It works.

I think it's only open for lunch and dinner...haven't heard of it ever being a club.

Thyme Square is particularly friendly for vegetarians (and vegans as a friend of mine can attest). Okay food, but you could do better in Bethesda. My favorite in that area is Hanndi (Indian)...ho hum interior, but fantastic food.

Washingtonian is a good resource for restaurant hunting...

I've never eaten there. I've heard the food is pretty good but the service is awful.

I agree other restaurants in the area have more popularity.

My favs:
Jaleo (tapas/spanish)
Levante (middle eastern)
Nyonya (malaysian)
Original Pancake House (breakfast/brunch)

Great! Thanks so much for the feedback. I thought I'd try it but think differently now. I just looked at the menus of the places y'all recommended and I'm thinking Jaleo will be fabulous for dinner when I arrive on Thursday! Thanks again!!
