Oh, we do believe you, but we also believe YOU when YOU say that Carmelo himself is the one who emailed you and asked you to come here and register and post a rave about his place (even if it were true). Do you not see how such a "planted" rave takes a lot of the luster off of it? Do you think he also emailed the other poster who had a miserable time and he knew they did, asking them to post as well? In fact, did he email them an apology for the failed evening or was he too busy emailing his friendly regulars asking them to go to bat for him to bother emailing apologies as well?

Well said Neopatrick. If, by chance, you happen to jump into the email with the restaurant directly I'm sure we can help you come up with a new login name. (just in case you need one).
Perhaps "PatrickDiNapoli"

i have forwarded this thread to the US federal trade commission to investigate whether false testimonials are being fabricated by this business. if so, this is a violation of trading standards that also cover the internet. the owners of this establishment should be hearing from investigators very soon. probably best to get a lawyer lined up.

ct, it's a matter of simple math. Shari, the OP who had the bad experience at Carmelo's, has posted at Fodor's hundreds of times on a number of subjects. You have appeared here only this month on this topic, then posted a second thread on the same, now stale, story.
