Car Rental Colorado

We are 9 people arriving in Montrose Co and driving to Crested Butte....

My sister wants to consider renting a car that fits us all for drive to Montrose Co to Crested Butte.

I think 2 cars might be better as one big car might be harder to use.

Might also consider an 8 person SUV for times we want to drive all the kids and then another SUV.

Thoughts on what we might need?????

How much luggage will you have? A big SUV that fits 8 will have little space for anything but the people. I would get two regular cars for the flexibility of being able to hop in the car and go and not leave the rest stranded. That and they will be way more reasonable pricewise.

Credit card rental-damage insurance, and sometimes your personal car insurance, doesn't cover all sizes of vehicles. So that might be a consideration as well.

To fit 9 people and luggage you will need something like a 12 passenger vehicle - likely very expensive and a real pain to drive.

Would definitely rent 2 cars for better flexibillity (and do check how much luggage people are taking).

Definitely 2 cars for many reasons, all stated above. Is this for skiing? bringing skis?
