Car Rental at Seattle Bell St. Pier

Does anyone know....are there any car rental counters at the Bell Street Pier (Pier 66) in Seattle? After disembarking from our cruise in August, I would like to rent a car to drive to Mt. Rainier. Thanks!

I don't think there are any rental car counters there but you could contact Enterprise Rent a Car as 'they pick you up' or maybe check with the Mariott on Alaskan Way and see if they have a counter.

There is no car rental office on the waterfront. If the Enterprise suggestion doesn't work out, all the major car rental agencies have offices within a mile of the pier.

Hey Georgewire, You are in luck. After writing the above I went on line and found the following at www.portseattle.org/news:

"New services offered at the Port's cruise terminals this season include rental cars by Hertz. Staffed kiosks at Terminal 30 and Pier 66 will allow passengers to reserve, pick up and drop off cars on-site."

There's also a Thrifty station down opposite the Seahawks stadium or thereabouts. (Don't remember the pier no.) You could leave someone with bags, trolly down (at least most of the way) and bring the car back.

Well guys, I called Hertz re: the new rental counter service that's supposed to be opening at Bell Street Pier. They don't know what I'm talking about. I've emailed Port Seattle, but they haven't responded. I think I may take a taxi to a downtown rental location!

I work only a couple blocks from the waterfront. At our office we always call Enterprise and they come pick you up.

I called the Hertz office at 714 Pike St, Seattle, 98101 - (206) 903-6260. The man who answered the phone told me that they will have satellite offices at Pier 30 and 66 in Seattle. They are shooting for a June 1 opening. Happy Trains to You.
