Cape Cod in August with a 1 yr Old

My wife and I are looking for a place to stay for 3-4 nights on Cape Cod (including Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard) that welcomes young children. We are looking for a hotel with pool, a balcony (on which to entertain ourselves when our daughter falls asleep at 7 pm!), located on or very near the beach. Recognizing we're asking a lot, we're not adverse to spending a significant amount for the stay, but would rather stay below $400/night. Any and all recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Except for the balcony you want the Commodore Inn/Motel in West Harwich. Pool, 1 minute from beach etc.

If you could clarify a little bit? These 3 -4 nights, do you want them all in the same place (Either Cape Cod, Nantucket, OR the Vineyard) or are you looking to hit all of those places in the 3 - 4 nights.

Also what dates?

For Nantucket, check out:

on the Cape, check out some places in Dennisport and South Yarmouth...there are several that have pools and are right on the beach.

(look at the Red Jacket, Blue Water, and Riviera Beach Resorts)

You might also want to check out Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham. Very pricey in August but I would think that they have a balconied room and it's on the water and there's definitely a pool.

Wequessett Inn and Resort is another possibility--just up the road from Chatham. Also pricey.
