Calling all Lake Tahoe Skiers... I need your help
We are planning a last minute trip to South Lake Tahoe 2/4/05 through 2/9/05. We are staying at Ridge Tahoe and will not have a car. Is the Ridge truely a ski-in/ski-out to Heavenly? They mention a gondola, but they don't describe exactly where it brings you. Also, since we don't have a car will it be possible to get around and what town is closest to our hotel? We aren't interest in Casinos or gambling, but would enjoy some nice restaurants and some relaxing live music in the evenings. Any additional fun ideas would be greatly appreciated. Finally, does anyone know where I can get a good map of the S. Lake Tahoe area? I can't find one on the web. THANKS

I responded to your original post. It was at # 38 last time I looked. Just scroll down. Or did you want other responses? Then just post a reply to your own post to bring it back to the top. That way you don't have to monitor multiple threads.

Here's a fun map that's a bit interactive. http://www.southlaketahoe.worldweb.c...map_id=1:34552
Roll your mouse over some spots and you'll see what they are. Cafe Fiore is fantastic. The map can be moved by usisng your mouse. I noticed that they have mislocated the Embassy Suites in Nevada when it's really on the CA side of Stateline.

I've skied out of the Stagecoach Lodge at Heavenly many times and I think that Ridge Tahoe has a private gondola that takes you pretty close to the Stagecoach chair. So I'd call it good access but not exactly ski-in/ski-out.
