California-Monterey /Carmel
My husband and I and 2kids(8 and 10) will be out in CA in end of July . Any suggestions for hotel in Monterey July 25-28? I'm looking for good location clean hotel (preferably with breakfast) around $130-$160 per night.
My plan for this area:
1. Carmel -Mission ranch
2. Monterrey Aquarium
3. Carmel beach
4. Point Lobes state park
I'm still looking for good value and location hotel in Monterey/Carmel. Anyone? Please!
Did anyone stayed in COLTON INN?

If you can score a room at Asilomar in Pacific Grove, you will have an amazing full breakfast included. It's a great place for families, is an historic conference grounds designed by Julia Morgan, has a wonderful fireside room with pool table, ping pong, etc., and is just across the street from the Pacific Ocean. www.asilomar.com

Asilomar would be an awesome choice for you and your family in Pacific Grove/Carmel.
It's very funky but usually cheap and very communal which has a feel of 60's vibe.
Can't beat the location and the kids would love it.
There is a Hyatt Monterey that had some killer deals for under $100 but that was a couple of months ago.
Tickled Pink in Carmel is usually reasonable but your going at busy times.

La quinta inns and suites are another great place with free breakfast and wi-fi for around $100+ a night and a great solid 3* hotel.

Thank you so much all of you.I tried Hyatt Monterey-They don't have this deals anymore
Asilomar in Pacific Grove don't have my dates and ask $168 per night. La quinta inns $176 per night.
Any other hotels? I don't know which one to pick.

lada, carmel and monterey is one of those areas where there are some REALLY bad hotels. Try www.montereyhotdeals.com and see if there is something that looks like it would work for you... then read reviews here and on tripadvisor. I am going to pull out some old files and see if I can help you. More later.

I like Casa Munras in Monterey. Normal, affordable, and they usually have vacancy. http://larkspurhotels.com/collection/casa-munras

While there last week, I noticed Hotel Abrego. Looks new or remodeled, has good reviews on Tripadvisor. It is in Monterey about a block from the downtown area. Looks like easy walking distance to the Wharf, etc. Has had some deal posted lately.

Thank you for suggestions. Unfortunately Casa Munras and Hotel Abrego don't have availability on my dates. But both look great.
I did call as onemoneygirl recommended towww.montereyhotdeals.com Talk to the very nice lady (woke her up @5a.m.Due to 3 hours time difference.I'm in Florida.)she suppose to call me back with some hotels. She recommended Pacific Grove area. Do you think its better then staying in Monterey?

Pacific Grove is beautiful and quiet, but it's also adjacent to Monterey (technically, the Monterey Aquarium is IN Pacific Grove at least in part) so if the price and availability are better, go for it. It's got good restaurants and a lovely seafront area. Also a nice main street area.

I love PG, but have never stayed there.
We went for the day about a week ago because the ice plant is blooming and my husband wanted to take pics. I am not an ice plant fan, but the blankets of pink and purple are something. Very vibrant.
We wandered all along the paved path that goes along the water and saw some otters and a bunch of harbor seals. The seals gave us quite a show because they were fighting over who got to sit on which rock.
