Cabin in Sequoia or Kings Canyon, CA

Any recs for a cabin in Sequoia or Kings Canyon? Looking for rustic and simple for a couple of nights in mid June (mid week). I'm hoping for $100.- or less per night, but open to higher rate if needed. Thanks!

These cabins look like what we are looking for.

Still open to any other suggestions.

Let me begin by saying that I am not a camper. I like to hike during the day and come back to a nice hotel room. Saying that, we stayed in the bath cabins a couple of years ago at the end of May. They are rustic and simple. The beds weren't very comfortable, the bathroom door wouldn't stay closed (the floor was on a slant) and they are very small. We stayed in them 3 nights (as we had reserved them for that before hand, and it was a different experience for us). Then we moved to the John Muir Lodge for the last two. It was nice listening to the night noises though. They did seem to rent the bath cabins quickly, so if you are contemplating those I'd do it soon.

We thought the location (Grant's Grove) was ideal. It is equal distance to both Sequoia and King's Canyon. It also had a grocery store, restaurant and visitor's center.

Good info maj. We are used to camping and rustic cabins so I think we'll be okay (may bring foam pads for the beds).

We also stayed in one of Grants Grove cabins in for 3 nights in June 2 years ago. We had one of the few that have bathrooms. I agree with everything maj had to say about them. Very rustic, but well located. There's a short trail near the cabins that goes to an overlook with one of the most spectacular views I've ever seen. You won't want to miss it.

Cedar Grove Lodge is also in Kings Canyon. It's in a beautiful, isolated area and has a place that serves food. You need to drive a long way into the canyon to get there, but it's down a road you won't soon forget. The location is good if you plan to stay mostly in King's Canyon.
