Are there ever individual tickets available to Giants games? I thought it was ALL season ticket holders.

AFAIK, every team has to set aside certain number of tickets to sell to the general public. The most popular teams single ticket sales are usually done in couple of hours on the day they go on sale.

Even if you are at multiple computers at the exact second tickets go on sale, you will likely not be able to get tickets for the few single game tickets available - have tried for Red Sox and Patriots every year and am successful less than 50% of the time.

Re: StubHub - I recently purchased 4 tickets to the US Open (tennis) for a *very* good price. These, of course, are towards the end of the opening week, but they're for the evening session and well-placed. I wouldn't completely rule them out.

The economy has reduced price of many expensive tickets - still sold by brokers over face value, but not nearly as high as I have experienced before - so don't rule out a ticket broker (which is not the same as StubHub). For example, Red Sox tickets for random games have in past been about twice face value, and for big games like vs Yankees 3-4x face value. We were able to get from a licensed ticket broker Red Sox Yankees tickets for a game last week - $50 face value tickets for $80 - still expensive, but never have I seen them at such a small mark-up.

AAFF - you had great luck. I am usually in the "virtual Waiting Room" forever.

The "virtual waiting room" is definitely a crapshoot. Whenever we've tried, my husband, a friend and I would all be on at the same time. Sometimes one person would get in twice before another would get in once. You just never know.

This thread started when the players wore leather helmets and their wives were nicknamed Bronco and Killer. Since then the new stadium opened and there is a "personal license fee" to purchase season's tickets.
