Buy Wicked Tickets now?

I can purchase tickets for Wicked today for $75 plus $7 fee. The tickets are for July in the mid-mezz. area. Should I purchase these now, or wait until closer to our date and see if there are discounted tickets?

Although I'm no expert, I'd say buy them now. For a show this popular, having the tickets in hand is far more important to me than saving a few dollars. I'm looking for tickets in June, can you tell me which site you're using to get these tickets?

Buy them.

I don't know if you are talking about Chicago, New York or whatever- but buy them immediately.

If it is Chicago you need to go to ticketmaster to buy them without another "party" such as stubhub being involved - and those are at extremely elevated pricing, IMHO. The other alternative is direct from the boxoffice at Ford Theatre for the Perf. Arts (old Oriental) without the added service fees. But I tried for others last time I was downtown and the pick'ens are getting slim there as well.

If NYC, I would buy them now immediately as well.

I went to the official Wicked Site and then was directed to Ticketmaster.

If you're talking about New York, I can assure you that there will be no discount tickets for Wicked for July performances.

NYC? If so, buy them now. You're lucky to be able to get them. The seat locations will only get worse and discounts are out of the question for ths show.

This morning on the news they reviewed Broadway sales over the holidays.

Despite the increase in ticket prices for the holidays - and the "specal event tickets" right down fron for hundreds of dollars several shows sold out completely for every show- and are also sold out for the immediate future: Wicked, Jersey Boys, Mama Mia, Lion King.

I wouldn't plan on getting discounts anytime soom for Wicked.

nytraveler, "immediate future"?
I tried to get two tickets for Jersey Boys ANYTIME from May 13 to June 13 and finally gave up. The only seats I could get were extreme rear and sides -- obstructed view. That's over 5 months away.

Yes, elaine, get those Wicked Tickets now.

In Boston, tickets went on sale LAST MAY for tickets for SEPTEMBER 2007!

That was over a year out!

I took my own advice and booked our tickets today. I was able to get 5 front row mezzanine tickets for a June performance--we're all very excited!

anniegaff, those are for Wicked in June? That's fantastic. Front row mezzanine -- nearly always my very first choice of tickets.
