Budget vacation rental LA Beach

Hi I am looking to rent a condo or house near the beach in LA for 2 weeks in August . Hoping to spend no more than $800 a week and be in walking distance to the beach.... doesn't have to be fancy, just cute. Any advice ? It seems like the hotels are all $200+ a night, and I would like a place that has a kitchen etc.

Try www.vrbo.com, but don't be too hopeful. vrbo stands for vacation rental by owner. I have seen some small places to rent in the Manhattan Beach area but I can't recall if they were as cheap as you are looking for. And you're pretty late for this season!

You will probably have a hard time finding much for less than $1000 or $1200 per week - especially this late. (and most would have even higher rates)

The hotels charge over $200 for a reason - they can get it. Same goes for vacation rentals.

Not a condo but right on the beach check out
www.seaspritemotel.com

Also in Santa Monica a few blocks from the beach you might get a weekly rate at

I have a really great place in Malibu that I will have available for rent late August and through Labor Day weekend. It is a 5 minute walk to Zuma beach. It's a small house with a nice yard. It is not a mansion, but well decorated and very comfortable. Also, I would be willing to work out a deal with you that works with your budget if you would be willing to stay a full 2 weeks. If you are interested email me @[email protected], and I will give you the details and pictures. Happy 4th of July!!!!!
