Bring inside Disneyland Park?

Are you allowed to bring any kind of outside food in the Disneyland parks? I'm thinking not, but what about bottled water (or one of those bigger Nalgene types)? Thanks!

cw05, you can bring in water bottles or anything else you want to eat or drink. You just have to be willing to carry it!

I have never been stopped for taking water or small snacks in for my children. They find it in my bag, but never say anything to me. Thank goodness!

Why allow your children (or friends) to finally know what a cheapskate you are!?
There are drinking fountains throughout the park and inexpensive and healthy (whole apples, fruits, etc.)food available everywhere.
Why schlep what you don't need to ?

I have seen lots of people bringing water and drinks and snacks into the park - especially families with small children and they have no problem. Ignore the previous poster as I see no problem with families wanting to save a little money and also not wanting to always be standing in food lines. If you want to buy food in the park do it but if you don't, please don't feel bad as most people aren't like the previous poster. Have fun!!

Yes, you are allowed to bring in food/water. However, the bottle must be sealed. We have had annual passes for years and do this quite often. I recommend that you freeze one water bottle and bring a thawed out one. You can also rent a locker to store your items while you are walking around.

I second the motion to ignore the other poster (I think it was Michael Eisner trying to pad his annual bonus). The fact is that the healthy snacks are few and far between and they are hardly inexpensive.

We always try to bring in as many drinks and snacks as we can.

We made a mistake once of leaving to drive to Disneyland without having breakfast. We ended up having breakfast in the park, and of course everyone wanted orange juice. I think the carafe was $12.00!!!!!

The only resonable restaurant I recall is the Mexican restaurant in Frontierland.

A regular sized bottle of water costing $2.75 is not inexpensive - especially if you'll be buying one for every member of your family.

I have seen the fresh fruit for sale in the park, but never investigated how much they cost.

For me it's less an issue of price and more an issue of quality. I can usually bring in better snacks than I can buy, so I do.

No alcohol or glass bottles. I don't think the bottle has to be sealed as long at is obviously water and not something stronger. It is a good idea to bring drinks and snacks, they are the most overpriced item in the park. Also no knives, including pen knives. If you are going on a busy day, there is a good chance the lockers inside the park will be full if you get there much past opening.

Healthy foods (not necessarily inexpensive) are available in a number of locations. In Adventureland, there's a cart with fresh fruit/veggies, near the Jungle Cruise. Fruits run about $1.50-$3.50. Also near there is is Bengal BBQ which has grilled skewers, including vegetables. Long line at lunch, so don't go then. The ever-popular smoked Turkey Leg is available at a cart at the Plaza and I think another near Big Thunder Mtn. In Fantasyland, the Pizza Port has some decent salads as well as pasta and pizza.

Rancho del Zocalo is the Mexican restaurant and is indeed pretty good.
