magic mountain, all ages?

Was wondering about taking a family, 2 adults and kids from 19 down to 5 yrs to six flags magic mountain, CA, Is it suitable for all ages? enought to entertain the 9 and 5 year old as well as the teenagers?
can you take food or drink (or water bottles) into the park?
Someone said you cant' take food or drinks into Disneyland?? Not even a re-fill drink bottle?

Have you been to their website? www.sixflags.com You will need to check the calendar, as they are no open every day in the winter.
Yes, it is suitable for all ages. For the 5 year old, there is a section for children under 48" (or something like that)which is fun for them, and it is a great place. Teenagers? Don't have to worry about them as they love all the wild rides. Don't wear too heavy pants because you will get wet on some rides and you want them to dry quickly. And isn't that part of the fun?
No, you cannot take food or drink into the park. I'm sure you can get a pass and go to your car, and return. We've found buying one substantial meal in the park worked better than junk all day.
Sometimes discount coupons are offered, so check around for them.

From memory, you can bring a sealed water bottle into Disneyland as long as it doesn't exceed 16oz. Also, they have never made us throw out any munchies we bring in, like pre-packaged crackers/cookies/etc.

Magic Mtn and the others are probably the same.

Just want to alert you that the crowds at Magic Mtn aren't as family oriented as Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm and Universal Studios. It's not uncommon for there to be gang activity at times.

I was at Magic Mountain in August and had no problem whatsoever bringing in a backpack type purse with two water bottles (12oz?) and some bags of dried fruit.

Doesn't seem to be a big problem there.

Our kids have annual passes, and really enjoy Magic Mt. Since concerts were discontinued several years ago, problems are rather uncommon.
