Boutique Hotels

Looking for reasonably priced boutique hotels in Los Angeles, a Monterey and San Francisco. Planning vacation weekend of July 17th and do not want to stay in large chain hotel, if we can help it.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Majestic in SF and loved it. Its very reasonably priced and was great for us as its well located to lots of different mass transit routes (easy to get all around the city).

Its hard to find reasonable boutique hotels in Monterey... consider also looking in Pacific Grove and Carmel for more options. good luck.

Check out the Tickle Pink Inn in the Carmel Highland's area, we stayed here last month for the second time and it was wonderful!

In Monterey, consider the Spindrift Inn, right in the heart of Cannery Row, we had a king-corner room that was very nice with a canopy bed, fireplace and window seat. Breakfast is included with your stay here. Have a nice trip! ***kim***

Hi postmodern!

I strongly, strongly recommend the Spindrift in Monterey. Request the top corner room. You literally look out your window and youre above the waves coming in.

Just amazing.

I can honestly say this is my favorite hotel ever.

Have fun!

Gosh! We've stayed at the Tickle Pink and Inn Above the Tide and I love them both. However for me they were big splurges and I don't consider them to be "reasonably priced".........but perhaps that is just me.

Kimpton also has locations in Los Angeles. Joie de Vivre has Hotel Angeleno in West LA near the Getty.

I was trying to find this cute boutique hotel that was really well priced, but can't find it online. It was right near Union Square, closer to the Bart Station, on Taylor or Mason. My google search didn't result in familiar findings, but the above hotels look nice and in that general area.
