Boulder-where to stay?
We're considering a trip in June or August. (Due to other plans that we need to work around.) We usually stay in B & B's. I'd love a country feel, but would also love being close to "town" and the pedestrian main drag. Suggestions? Is it REALLY ok to be there without a car? Thanks.

Try the Bradley for a B&B. Very lovely and right off Pearl Street. The other 2 great hotel choices (expensive) are the Boulerado and the St. Julian. You don't need a car to walk around downtown Boulder but to go anywhere (and you will want to) you will need one. Traffic is nothing.

The Boulderado is a historic property in downtown Boulder. It might give you the quaint feeling you are looking for, although it's not 'country'.
But you will want a car in Boulder, IMHO. There are many easy day-trips to take from Boulder, all requiring a car.
