Boston, MA!
My husband and I are flying to Boston for 3 days, mid-March. Any advice on must-sees and dos?? We are staying at the Wyndham Tremont. Anyone know anything about his hotel? Thanks very much. =0)

What kind of things are you interested in?
I recommend a stroll down Newbury St. and Bolyston St. to see the shops and restaurants. Dinner in the north end and a stop at Mike's pastry late at night (when the line is still out the door) is recommended.
The aquarium and Quincy Market are typical tourist sites and worth seeing. Harvard Square in Cambridge is also full of activity.

The Wyndham Tremont is directly across the street from the Wang Theatre. Years ago the hotel was called the Bradford Hotel. I haven't been inside since it was remodeled.

Karen, we could advise you better if we knew the exact dates of your trip, and what your interests are -- sports, history, art, theater? There's much too much to do in just 3 days, we could help you narrow it down.

If you have clear weather, go to the top of the Prudential Center to the Observatory for a great view of a big chunk of New England. There is also a very interesting series of exhibits at the observatory.

Check the Museum of Fine Arts. I'm not even really into art that much, but really enjoyed it. Walk the Freedom Trail. Museum of Science pretty good - I like it better weekends when school groups are not there. Use the T to get around - convenient & safe, but old. Don't bother looking for the "Cheers" bar unless you are in the neigborhood. Check Old Ironsides & the destroyer next to it ... after taking the water taxi from near the aquarium.

Try one of the discount theatre ticket kiosks (one at Fanuel Hall and one at Copley place) for half off; you can see what plays they have available the day of at: http://www.artsboston.org/bostix.cfm.
Mike's Pastry is great and I can also vouch for Modern's canolis and chocolate and caramel dipped pretzles if the line at Mike's is prohibitive. Yum!
I also have to second the Pho Pasteur reccomendation- great, fresh and cheap viet. food and a great menu selection to boot.
Enjoy!
