Can anyone please advise on the following hotels
I am trying to choose between the two
Sheraton on dalton Street and the Marriott tudor wharf.

from what i can see i think the Sheraton is central to a lot of location., and walking distance to some sights and restaurants. But, it looks like you have to take the "T" alot to get downtown.

The Marriott from what I can see is closer to downtown things but, has some kind of not so good bridge to cross and takes about 20 mins to get to the North End

Can you please advise some pros and cons for both and which you would choose

If by "not so good bridge" you mean the Charlestown Bridge, it is perfectly fine both for driving and for walking across (although you might not want to do so alone at night - but that is general common-sense advice, not specific to the bridge).

I've stayed in the Sheraton (primarily because my daughter goes to school in that area). It's connected to a mall. It's also a couple of blocks from Newbury and Bolyston Sts where there are many restaurants and shops. On the other hand, as you noticed, it's not very near some of the trouists sights, Faneuil hall, Aquarium, etc but does have various T lines nearby.

I think either location is good for various reasons. I'd go with whichever has the better deal.

In any case, definitely do the Freedom Trail tour with the parks department.

Have you looked at the Marriott Customs House? The location is close to everything and right across the street from Fanuiel Hall/Quincy Market.

You don't say when you are visiting but in cold weather, the walk across the bridge can be pretty frigid.

Given the choice, I would definitely stay at the Sheraton. You are adjacent to the Prudential Center shops and restaurants and very close to all the shops and restaurants in Back Bay. You won't have to go far to go out to dinner.

Transportation is easy, as there are two subway stops nearby. It's a nice walk to downtown and really not that far if it's pleasant weather.

The Sheraton is in a more central location. In Boston, we don't really refer to any one area as "Downtown" (except Downtown Crossing). The Sheraton is in the Back Bay which is really the center of everything and the main shopping area of the city. You'll be right by the T for easy access to other tourist areas. And if the weather is nice, you can walk to lots of places.
