Boston hotel for college student

My college student daughter wants to spend a night in Boston on her Back East trip. Any ideas for a decent budget hotel for her would be appreciated.

Newbury Guest House on Newbury St. is reasonably priced, in a great area and includes breakfast.

A lot of kids (and parents of BU students wanting budget accomodations)like the Buckminster Hotel. It is on Kenmore square, right next to Boston Univ and on a T stop.

The people I know who recommend it say it is clean, well located and safe; about equal to a Motel 6 in luxury but much more historic.

My daughter is currently a student in Boston. Which college is she visiting? We can recommend closer hotels if you let us know which area.

Use the Youth Hostel
http://www.bostonhostel.org/

My niece & her husband (bf at the time) enjoyed the company of other young people at hostels, this one in particular, that they still use them with their child along.
