For a celebration trip, Fairmont! Much better location for a leisure trip. Financial District is very quiet at night and on the weekends, the Fairmont is a nice hotel close to food, shopping, sites, etc. Enjoy

Definitely the Fairmont Copley Plaza for a special anniversary. One of Boston's most elegant hotels, and nicely located at Copley Square.
Consider L'Espalier for dinner. (You can book online and get a link to their website at Opentable.com) It's walking distance from the Copley Plaza.

Although downtown crossing is cleaning up with The Opera House, and the newer Ritz on the edge, the Hyatt is still basiclly in The Ghetto. I cannot believe you're getting similar rates at the Fairmont.....book it!

I think you've got your answer! I also second the recommendation of L'Espalier for dinner. Best restaurant in Boston for a special occassion dinner. We've celebrated an anniversary their ourselves. Happy anniversary to you both!

You guys are the best! FYI, I subscribe to the Travelzoo weekly email with the Top 20 deals and that's where I learned about the Fairmont deal.
