cmcfong, I just got home ... just walked in the door, and am now trying to cheer my Carolina Tar Heels to a victory over Wisconsin!
My friend and I had a fabulous time at the NC State-Eastern Kentucky game tonight, but we did spare everyone the sight of us in red & white body paint!!!
(We're going to wait for the Wake Forest - State game!) I don't think poor Eastern Kentucky knew what hit them (58-10!!!) .... I was actually pulling for them to score another touchdown or two, just so their Mothers wouldn't be so upset!
They'd never played an ACC team before; they probably won't want to come back!
We tail-gated with some friends, stuffed ourselves and had a blast in general! Thank you for asking!!!

Too bad the Tar Heels couldn't play better against Wisconsin. Since my wife and I are both graduates of both schools, we decked the family out in a hodge podge of Tar Heel and Badger clothing. There were a lot of Badger fans at that game. It is going to be a looooooooooooong season for Carolina, especially with the tough schedule. It is also said to lose and have Duke win, even it was against VMI.

Dan, that UNC schedule is a killer !!!!!!! Their game last night wasn't a pretty one, that's for sure ...
cmcfong, now just pipe down there!
In our neighborhood, it's "Anybody but Puke ... er, sorry, I meant Duke!"
The State cheerleaders & throng were singing that rude little song last night ... "Go to hell, Carolina! Go State!"(They sing that, no matter who they're playing, apparently!
) I'm sure Carolina has a nice rebuttal, though.
(For those trying to figure out my loyalties, I have a real hard time myself!!!

Well, Bonnie, the Carolina crowd used to say "Go to Hell State," but that has changed over to "Duke" in recent years. That is probably not a good thing for State, since it indicates sort of a change in rivalry, but I think the change is most appropriate. Since I grew up a State fan, I have never seen them as evil like I see Duke. Of course, State is a much more worthy rival than Duke in football - probably too worthy next week.

I understand the philosophy of Coach Bunting that to be the best you must play the best, but couldn't they schedule a team or two to boost the self esteem of the fans? Is there a college football equivalent of EA Sports AllStars?
