Boardwalk Inn/Villas in Disney

Has anyone stayed at the Boardwalk Inn or Villas in Disney World? We were considering it but have heard a lot of noise problems and not the greatest views unless you luck out with a view of the fireworks at Epcot. Any info is appreciated!

We have stayed at the Boardwalk Inn twice. It is our new favorite at WDW. We were there in January and were given a free upgrade to concierge, which was fantastic. Last year, I requested a room with a garden/courtyard view and the view was very nice. We have never experienced any noise problems, however, I suppose it is possible if you have a room overlooking the Boardwalk. It is really a lovely resort. The Boardwalk is a lot of fun and you can walk to Epcot and MGM Studios (or take a ferry, if you prefer). I can highly recommend the Boardwalk Inn.

The Boardwalk, The Beachclub, and the Yacht Club all circle a lovely lake. The Boardwalk is supposed to have that busy Atlantic Beach Boardwalk feel so there are piano bars, a dance club, restaurants, surry bike rental, shops etc. It has a bustling feel and some people absolutely love that. You'll have to determine for yourself if you will enjoy it.

We stayed at the Beachclub, (we rented DVC points) and loved it. The pool was fantastic and we would look across the lake at the lights of the Boardwalk.

I think there was construction going on there recently. Perhaps that was the noise you heard about?? We own timeshare points there, but often use them at the Beachclub if there is availability there. However, the Boardwalk is a great place.

I have stayed at the Boardwalk Villas several times on rented DVC points. I never had a Boardwalk view, so there were no noise issues. I have had views over the pool (noisy during the day, quiet at night) and overlooking the waterway to MGM Studios.

I love BWV for the location. Just a short walk or boat ride to Epcot or MGM. I would recommend it highly.
