Birthday Dinner on Kauai
Taking a birthday trip with my grown daughter next week. Three
days on North Shore (Princeville Resort) and three days on South Shore
(Koa Kea). Would love ideas for a special restaurant on North Shore for dinner
on my birthday - prefer non hotel. Also, if you have favorites around the island
for the rest of our stay please share. Thanks in advance!

Ama was my first thought and you can't beat the Pali view. Scroll thru pics and see if it calls to you. It calls me

But I do love Baracuda as well. They are a stones throw between them.

So glad you enjoyed your birthday dinner.
My fave breakfast on the island is Kountry Kitchen in Kapaa. (The banana macadamia pancakes are so enormous I can only eat HALF of one!)
I was surprised at how good Monico's (also in Kapaa) is for Mexican food.
Foodie friends of mine say the best restaurant in Poipu is Plantation Gardens. They also say Hukilau (in Kapaa) is the best food on the island.
