Birthday dinner - Naples, FL

I will be celebrating MY birthday (a new decade, too) with brother & sister-in-law in Naples in mid-March. Thought it would be interesting to get Fodors Talk Folks choices and I found NONE!

Hey folks, If you were getting older minute by minute and wanted to commemorate your advancing years and are usually amenable to the suggestions of others (Family)....what place would you choose? Anyone? I'd like to remember this one . . . . favorably. Know what I Mean?

I recently posted regarding a special place in Naples for my 5th anniversary. You can do a search of the thread if you click onto my name, I think.

Here's emcash's thread. I'm linking it here, because it's pretty much the same I was about to repost.

One place I think we missed discussion of there was Truluck's on Fifth at the Plaza. If you want seafood, it's probably as good as it gets in Naples. Nice place, pricey, but worth it for a splurge.

Hey, emcash, did that dinner in Naples happen yet?

By the way, I mentioned Lemonia at the Golfing Ritz to clients of mine who two years ago were swearing it was the BEST in town. They stopped going. Said it had dropped dramatically in food and service. Apparently a change of chefs. . .

Thanks for linking that thread Patrick-- I wasn't sure how to do that.

The trip is coming up in May. Thanks for the update on Lemonia. I think we might try Cafe Lurcat for our actual anniversary night. The other 2 nights are up in the air. I know we will do Campiello's for lunch at least once, if not twice.

Is Truluck's the same one as in Boca (I'm assuming yes?). We ate there in December and enjoyed it, didn't LOVE it, but enjoyed it.
