Yikes, I read your question back-asswards, from Balt to DC
Take a green line up to greenbelt -- get a transfer pass for the dispenser at the station you BOARD the Metro at
At Greenbelt, board the B30 Bus (sign reads "BWI Express", I think, on the bus) and take that to BWI (it's non-stop and will cost $2.10 with the transfer pass, $3 without). If you're going to downtown Balt, then at the bus shelter they drop you off, watch for buses with a sign on it something like "Light Rail Shuttle". Or if the light rail work is done, as you look at the BWI terminal from the bus ... look to your left and you'll see the light rail stop at the very northern end of the terminal. Good luck.

see http://www.mtamaryland.com/services/lightrail/schedule/
It appears light rail from BWI is back into operation. Purchase a ticket from a vending machine near the train stop, it is $1.60 1-way, or $3.50 for an all day pass you can use on light-rail, Baltimore area buses, and subway. The lightrail at BWI should go directly to Baltimore Penn Station.
use website http://rideguide.wmata.com for times and prices of Metro subway and B30 bus, using BWI as your destination for info & recommended times for your travel needs. The B30 bus runs every 40 minutes and takes about 1/2 hour between Greenbelt & BWI.

see map http://www.mtamaryland.com/services/...hedule/map.cfm
Appears that you must change trains on the light rail ... any stop from Linthicum to Univ. of Balt - Mt Royal. Keep the ticket you bought, it's good for the transfer. The train you board at BWI will be the only one (it's at the end/start of a line) and the train you change to will probably have "Penn Sta" on the sign. Hope all this helps, I feel like I've hijacked your thread.

The light rail is all done, it's now double tracked from the southern end to Downtown. The B30 bus from greenbelt metro station should stop at the BWI lightrail station b4 the terminal. At that point, you can take the train up to Penn Station. Make sure you get on the Yellow train. here is the Maryland transit website, www.mtamaryland.com This is a very cheap way of getting to Baltimore Penn station w/o a taxi/car. Good luck!
