best sunrise spot on Kauai?

Staying at the Pono Kai March 10-17. Where's the best spot to watch the sunrise, besides everywhere. It's our first time in Hawaii. Also, can you recommend a good spot for intermediate snorkelers?

Hi aagirl,

We are making our first trip to Kauai in May so I cannot speak from personal experience, but I have been told by others that Kealia Beach is a good spot to watch the sunrise. I would like to know what others think about that.

If you want over-water sunrise views, anywhere on the east side of the island will do -- from Anahola in the north, all the way down to Nawiliwili Harbor.

Right from your hotel. Pono Kai sits on the east shore.
