Best pools in the US

What resorts/hotels have the best pools in the US? At a minimum, some slides and cool architecture, waterfalls would be great, etc.

My thoughts are towards El San Juan in Puerto Rico; anything like that continental or is it PR or Hawaii for something like that?

I've stayed at a Marriott in Orlando that had a lazy river and water falls...and waiters that would wade in the pool to bring you a drink!!!

8-)

Give me an infinity pool with a nearby bar any day. I don't want screaming and carrying on when I'm relaxing at the pool.

Bikom stated my favorites. The AZ Biltmore is wonderful, too. The Marriott is Ft. Lauderdale is no slouch, either.

Are these "special" Marriotts, or is there a trend for Marriotts to have decent pools?

Easy - the roof top pool at The Cliff Lodge, Snowbird, UT. Nothing can beat the views at sunset!

I enjoyed the pool at the Hyatt in Maui with a swim-up bar - until I realized that one man never got out of the pool all day. Since then, I have avoided them like the plague.

I love infinity pools too.

Rhrd, The Marriott in Ft. Lauderdale is a resort.

Two other wonderful pools our family has enjoyed: Hilton Waikoloa and Hilton Hawaiian Village.
