Newport lodging

My husband and I are thinking about traveling to Newport to run a marathon on June 2. We were seeking input on hotels/motels to stay. In addition, we are traveling from Reno so do we fly to Portland and rent a car?

Price really is not a factor. We would like a high quality and comfortable place in Newport as that is where the marathon is being run.

Elizabeth Inn would be my top choice. Very nice place in a great location.

Yes, you would rent a car in Portland and drive to Newport.

Cheers!

Portland? I'd fly into Providence..assuming you are talking Newport, RI. SW flies to Providence and it's an easy drive to Newport.

The Hallmark Resort is very nice, right on the ocean with many amenities. They also have a great restaurant, Georgie's Beachside Grill. Have fun! ***kim***
