Best Maui Tacos
My daughter loves tacos - especially the ones from Taco Bell. I've heard Maui Tacos and Jawz Tacos mentioned. Who do you think has the best quick, relatively inexpensive tacos on Maui? We'll be staying in Wailea but will be driving around most of the island.

I enjoyed the Maui Tacos in (EWR) Liberty Airport Terminal C, Newark, NJ. They have an interesting pineapple salsa
.
On

, we enjoyed the burrito interpretation at the moderately priced
A Saigon Cafe
, see M.R. for directions.

There is a Taco Bell in Kihei, but do you really want to eat at Taco Bell on vacation? If you do, they are in the Azeka Makai center.
Maui Tacos is good, but nothing special. They are fast food tacos, but they are cheap eats. They do have an impressive salsa bar, and I say that as a southern Californian who has seen impressive salsa bars. Beside the Kihei location, they have store in the Lahaina Square shopping center, one at Napili and one in the food court at the Queen Ka`ahumanu Center.
But, Jawz Tacos is my choice. They have had a taco truck on Makena Road near Big Beach that they have been parking there for 25 years or so. It's an old ice cream truck. They sell veggie, mahi, shrimp, ono, chicken and carne asada tacos and shave ice. I recommend a half POG, half blue vanilla shave ice.
This past year they also opened a store front in the Azeka Mauka shopping center. There they have a salsa bar and an expasnded menu that includes salads and burritos and a liquor license, but the tacos are still the same as the one you get on the truck. A big taco is $8, but they are really pretty big.
Another really good place fror tacos is Life's A Beach at the Kalama Center in Kihei. It's casual dining, you can sit outside in your bathing suit. On Wednesday they have $1.50 tacos, but they have a very good mahi taco any day of the week. They have beef and chicken too, if you don't eat fish. A two taco plate with rice and beans is $9.99. They just raised their prices, but for Maui eats, it's still a good deal.
