Best Key West Hotel

Hi, we are planning to honeymoon in Key West first week in July. Looked at all hotels on-line, need some advice. Think we may have narrowed it down to 3:

Marquesa Hotel
Hyatt Key Weat Resort & Marina
Westin Key West Resort & Marina

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

The hotel is Key West that's currently getting the best reviews is the Gardens Hotel. I have no personal experience with it, but have walked past there lots of times and the location is great. I've stayed at the Hyatt several times and while the location is great, they're apparently undergoing renovations (and will be for a while). The Westin is in a great location on the Gulf but gets complaints because cruise ships dock in front of it and block the views. I don't hear too much about the Marquesa anymore, but have friends who stayed there a few years ago and still rave about it. Of your choices, I think Marquesa would be best. If you want to add some other place, I'd choose the Gardens.

Marquesa is wonderful, you get the inn type of hotel and also very Key West. We stayed for our anniv last August and loved it. We toured the town during the morning and early afternoon and by 3:00 were in the beautiful pool area until dinner time.

I can't imagine any place more romantic then Marquesa in Key West.

We have stayed twice at the Gardens Hotel and hope to make it a third time next year. The location is perfect. You are only a few steps away from Duval and yet once you enter the grounds, you feel that you are miles away. The vegetation, rooms, service, etc. are all top notch. I would highly recommend the Gardens Hotel. -Susan

I too would go with The Gardens. The rooms are beautiful, romantic and big. The grounds are gorgeous with lots of lush landscaping anf the location is really nice because it is just a block off Duval.

The Gardens has been our choice the last several years. The Marquesa is also very nice, but we prefer the Gardens.

Marquesa would be first (They also have a great restaurant) & the Heron House 2nd. We typically avoid the hotels when we stay in Key West.

We always stay at Heron House (www.heronhouse.com) and love it. It is a block from the Marquesa and both are ideally located.

Little Palm Island is a private island which is a short boat ride from Little Torch Key. Little Torch is located approx 30 miles north of Key West.
