Hi, kids!

I have a friend who is going to Hawaii with her husband (both professionals in their mid-forties) for 7-10 days. They want this to be the trip of a lifetime, so cost is really no object.

Which guidebooks are best for these folks?

The Kaua'i Underground guide would be helpful if they are going to Kaua'i. Fodors guides for Hawaii rate a big fat zero in my book. They are boring, just like this forum now.

Linds, as far as I'm concerned, no guidebook beats Frommers for good basic, up-to-date info on Hawaii. You can almost always depend on their info, unlike some of their competitors ... Along with Frommers, I like the "Revealed" series.

'Oahu Revealed' and 'Driving & Discovering Hawaii, OAHU Honolulu & Waikiki' are both good.

Here is a thread with a lot of things to do on Oahu. Many of the website in the thread are good for all islands. Some of the sites will send free brochures.
