Can someone suggest a good book to read about Hawaii to help plan a trip? Thanks!!

Frommers Hawaii 2002 or Frommers Hawaii from $80 a day if you want more budget oriented ideas.

"The Unofficial Guide To Hawaii". Super Book with tons of info.

I have bought them all. My current favs are the revealed books, Maui Revealed, Ultimate Kauai, etc. Check them out at wizardpub.com.

The Revealed series, The Ultimate Guidebook. There is Maui Revealed, Kauai Revealed, and The Big Island Revealed.

Also, Hawaii for Dummies.

If you're planning your first trip to Hawaii, I'd recommend Frommers Hawaii 2002 for a good overview of all the islands. It'll help you narrow down what kind of vacation you want, which islands to visit, etc. Then once you decide which island(s), the "... Revealed" books are great, as is "Driving and Discovering... Have fun planning!

I have just been checking out Lonely Planets guide to Hawaii, and Lonely Planets guide to Honolulu.
Both books are worth looking at if you are planning a trip.
Very informative.

Strongly recommend the books on Kauai and Maui from wizardpub.com. However they don't have a book on Oahu. We found the Oahu edition of Driving and Discovering Hawaii by Richard Sullivan to be very useful
