Best beaches in Florida

Florida is famous from its range of beaches throughout the world. I plan to go there for my holiday with my family. Although, I already searched the internet for information but I prefer to hear directly from people who already visit its beaches. Anyone can help me by sharing their experience?

What do you want?

People watching? Miami Beach

Driving on the beach? Daytona

Warm water? Gulf Coast south of Punta Gorda

Etc.

Sarasota area, Siesta Key, Lido Key, Long Boat Key for warm, calm Gulf of Mexico water and gorgeous beaches.

Today would not be a good day as it was almost freezing overnight but give it a month or so and the beaches mentioned above are just the best. In summer time the Gulf feels like a hot tub.

Also when are you going?

I usually prefer the Emerald Coast of the panhandle (NW Florida) beaches. To me, the highway 30A area of Florida has the prettiest beaches in the state. But it can get really cold there during times that the weather is much warmer farther south.

Longboat Key has beautiful sandy beaches (almost as pretty as Destin / 30A area) and is warmer.

Sanibel is charming and has lovely shelling, wildlife and outdoor activities. Also great during the winter months.

Miami is awesome for nights on the town combined with days on the beach if you want to "see the beautiful people" (warning that you might think some of them not so beautiful, lol)

Definitely need more info about the time of year and what your interests are. Florida is a big state!

For wide, white sandy beaches, the panhandle would be hard to beat. The Destin area - while crowded - has those beaches.
