Bend Oregon and the Sunriver Resort

Still trying to pin down a place to stay in Bend and checked out the Sunriver Resort. Nice website, nice pictures, but the reviews on TripAdvisor are just so-so.

Anybody stayed here? Specifically at the Lodge itself (river or village rooms), not so much the house rentals.

Thanks.

t&g--We have stayed at Sunriver many times. We go several times each year. Mostly we rent homes, but we have stayed in the River Lodge several times. Those are beautiful, spacious, and well appointed. I have stayed there with our family as well as for girlfriends trips. The River Lodges have small patios that overlook the golf course. The rooms have a fireplace with a couple very comfy leather chairs in front of it, and the entry area of the room has a closet as well as a large bureau. The bathroom is huge and so it is very easy for more than one person to get ready at once. If you have any other questions on the rooms, or the resort, just ask. I will be back at Sunriver in August.

mms, I was hoping you (or one of the other helpful Oregonians) stayed there.

Have you stayed in the Lodge Village rooms?

Right now, for the dates I'll be staying, the River Lodge isn't showing any opening, but lot's of Lodge Village rooms.

Much thanks.

t&g--I have not stayed in those rooms. However I do know they just underwent a rennovation within the last year or so. I would not hesitate at all to book those rooms. BTW, does your wife need info on the spa there or should I keep quiet?

Trav...Senior Tour will be playing at Sunriver (August). Just a heads up. I'll be in Bend this August also. You have a great trip planned.

John--Will you be there during the JeldWen? T&G is coming in September. Last year we were there during the tournament and while the resort was busy, it didn't seem much moreso than the rest of August. Course we were not golfing either, lol!

John--We aren't going during the JeldWen this year. The last week of August instead.

Jeldwen in August.

I wonder if they might aerate the greens right after that, which might be bad news for an early September round.
