Bellagio - Monte Carlo Tram?

Anyone know if the Tram between the Bellagio and the Monte Carlo is operating?

Thanks.

It's closed - and will be for a long time. I just got back from Vegas Sat. and we had planned on taking the tram only to find it was closed due to all the construction going on between the two hotels.

Frankly I never quite "got" that tram. It seemed so far back from Bellagio to get it, then a short ride and you end up seemingly a mile off the strip at Monte Carlo having to go all the way through their property to get anywhere. I guess it was OK if you strictly wanted to go between the Monte Carlo and Bellagio. But as a short cut from walking the strip -- I didn't get it.

I'm sorry to hear the tram isn't working. In the past we always used it if we were heading south.

Neopolitan, the beauty of the tram was if you were staying at the newer Spa Tower in the Bellagio. As soon as you exited the Spa Tower elevators, if you turned left, there was the escalator to tram. It was actually easier to get to the tram than to walk to the front entrance of the hotel!

The one time we took the Tram from the Bellagio to the Monte Carlo, we were amazed at how slow it was ( we felt we could walk faster) then we walked into the choking smoke of the Monte Carlo..a shock after coming from the Bellagio. I never got the reason for that tram either...unless MC was hoping for some action coming from the Bellagio.
I wish they would put in some sort of "moving sidewalks" all over the Strip, the hotels are so huge, the distances in the heat can be daunting for older people or those with disabilities ( which you see in large numbers in LV)
