Bellagio Construction

Has anyone been to the Bellagio recently and can report on how the hotel construction is impacting the pool or other parts of the hotel?

I assume pat is asking if anyone has stayed there recently and can give actual information. It is doubtful that Bellagio would say on their website, "Construction is noisey and will disrupt your sleeping." or "expect a lot of extra dust in the pool and workman gawking at you."

When are you going? It's too cold for the pool right now and the part of the hotel they are working on now may change from when your trip is.
I was there 2 years ago (not that this is helpful NOW) and had heard reports of construction affecting the pool and by the time I got there it didnt. Though at 4 am in the casino it smelled like sewage and there was such a loud bang in there I thought it had been bombed.
I would try to ask the question over at LVTalk.

My trip report 2-6-8-04 has some reference to the contruction issue. For the most part the Casino itself is not disrupted logicallly as they would not want to lose Casino income. However I found the construction issues were mostly related to the Spa & Salon (website is correct in that some water related services are not availble) and the outside pool jacuzzi area. As reported only 1 jacuzzi had any water in it and exterior perimeter of the pool area was affected by construction. View from the rooms were not great with construction items prominately noticed but I suspect most people don't stay in the rooms long. The room water problem may have been related to the construction..but I didn't ask as I wanted to get into a room ASAP. Overall I would say the contruction issues were minor.

Actually, Patrick, the Bellagio web site has a very good explanation of disrupted services during the remodeling. I thought it would be of some use to Pat1115. Your helpful information was.........what??????

We were there in November and while you are outside you can hear the noise and see the construction, by the pools..it does not affect the actual pool area.
We get our rooms overlooking the Strip over at the other end of the hotel .. saw nothing, heard nothing

My helpful information was to bring her question to the top so someone who had first hand knowledge could answer. See it worked. Several people now have given good information. Funny, but I don't see on that website anything about the smell of sewage or loud explosions in the night. I think those are the things pat was asking about. Disrupted services and how the construction would bother her are two different things.
Sorry TC, I didn't mean my post to insult you, I was just trying to get pat some first hand information, which she has now received.

Just returned from the Bellagio, the construct was a non-event. It is far enough behind and South of the hotel to basically not effect much more than possibly the view from the rear facing rooms and the pool area. The building is nearly topped off, and I doubt it will effect your stay. Having said that, we had a lake view and it is well worth the extra money to experience the fountains at night from your room.

P.S., The monorail from the Bellagio to the Monte Carlo is not operating during the contruction.
