Beautiful new Walker, Minnesota B&B!

Hi, Fodorites! There is a fabulous brand new B&B just outside, Walker, Mn! I had the priviledge of being their first guest just after licensing! Absolutely beautiful completely remodeled home with 3 guest rooms! I stayed in the largest with full ensuite bath! Every thoughtful touch was attended to! Ice water was even in a carafe upon my arrival in my suite & a pot of tea with antique cup brought up to my suite the following morning! Breakfast was a culinary delight served on antique china in the dining room of their home overlooking the river while watching birds feeding at their back patio [breakfast can be served outdoors if weather cooperates!] The owners have to be some of the nicest people in the world! Directions to my next destination were even printed out on the computer before my departure! I felt like an honored guest throughout my visit & by the time I left, an old friend! I simply can't wait to return! If you are considering a stay in the Walker, Mn area here is their website:

PS. I would also like to say that I am sharing this out of the goodness of my heart & that I was a paying guest. I just wanted to share this with other Fodorite's. This is an honest review of my stay.

I don't know if it is Dan. Ateabag has been contributing here for years, and often seems to ask or report on B&Bs.

If she'd never posted before, I'd be suspicious too, but Ms teabag is an old timer.

I say give her the benefit of the doubt - many times we find places we just love and feel we want everyone to know about them. I think this is the case with this one. Sounds good!!

I would like to say that I have absolutely nothing to gain by posting this. This was top drawer and the people were wonderful. I just wanted to share. I have been posting for a long time on other boards. The reason I used exclamation marks is it that it was outstanding. I live in a different state, have no affiliations whatsoever to this B&B, this was the first time I met these people, or visited. The only other contact was one phone call making the reservation. As I said, this was an honest review.

I'd believe it more if Fodors hadn't already yanked it the first time you posted it.

However, I will give you the benefit of the doubt here. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, Fodor's did 'yank' it & I emailed them to inquire why. I explained that I was a private individual with absolutely no gain to be had in doing this or affiliation to this B&B. Fodor's was kind enough to reply & apologize for 'stepping on toes" & told me to go ahead & repost. I simply don't understand.Isn't this what this board is supposed to be all about to share experiences-good & bad? This one was good!

ateabag- Fodors yanks posts when someone emails them, so someone must have complained. Obviously when you wrote back to question it, they reconsidered based on your history.

If you do your reviews inside a trip report, you'll be less likely to be thought of as an tout.
