BayouGal~ I spotted an SUV with Louisiana plates right next to the Salty Dawg in Homer
today, so of course, I sauntered in looking for you.
I don't think you were the one with the ankle skirt with the mushrooms on it and charcoal gray leggings.. oh, and long purple hemp purse and funky seagull earrings and a lycra top that was practically cutting off circulation were you?
If so, I apologize for not spending some time with you and buying you a drink, lol. J.

Sorry, J, I was here in Louisiana tending my DD after surgery today. HOWEVER, on my more Bohemian days, that could have easily been me. You didn't mention the hair weave or JCs, which are standard issue with my Bohemian uniform. ;-)
How was your day in Homer, lucky dog?!

BayouGal~ heavenly day in Homer.
Every fishing charter boat was on the bay, the smell of fish and chips in the air, everyone smiling..
I had to rub it in just a little too.. gee honey, in ten more days, the Pacific is going to feel about 30 degrees warmer than here

J, is it unseasonably cooler there, or about average? After your post (the one where you are bragging!), I started wondering if the heat wave heating up the Pacific might affect the glaciers in Alaska. They seem to be receding fast enough as it is. What's the opinion of all this in Alaska?

Pat2003~ sounds like a winner. School begins here in late August so I should ahave a free day
BayouGal~ oh, it's the science vs. made man debate, depending on who you ask about it,lol.
They had an article in the ADN last year where they interviewed elders up North who said the days of the ocean being frozen over most of the year were gone(or some body of water,a strait perhaps).. they couldn't believe the changes etc..
Our summer on the peninsula has had more clouds and showers than usual. It sure made the lawns green and kept the fire danger down, but has been a backwards summer, since most of our rain comes in late July into August.
Very breezy the past few days. I'm surprised my patio umbrella didn't go airborne! J.
