Baseball's Cactus League info

Hi,
We have been visiting Arizona in March for the games for quite a few years. I do know how to find schedules and info on the spring training games.

However, we would like to come down earlier this year and see some of the activites prior to March and the actual games. I can't find info on minor leagues or about special, invited players who are trying to make the teams. Also, we think it might be fun to see the major league teams practice.

Can you point me to where I might find this info? Would love to hear from those of you "in the know" who would have some information.

Thanks.

One of my friends SIL is with the Oakland A's and spent this last year with their AAA team. He is currently in Phoenix playing on a winter league there. Another friend's son is with the Chicago White Sox and I believe he is also in this winter league. I will see both of my friend's tonight so I can get some information. I know they go over from CA to see games so will post back later tonight.

GLLinda-Sorry didn't end up seeing either of my friends last night. When will you be in Arizona? Right now they are playing in the Fall League. The only winter league I know about is in Yuma. Don't know if they do any playing open to the public before March. But I will find out sometime in the next week and let you know.

Thanks, Paula and Razzledazzle for the help.

Paula, we would like to go down in February. Yuma sounds interesting if there is any baseball then. Any info you could get on February ball would be great, anywhere in Arizona.
